GBA Consulting Engineers welcomed back a past employee/friend for a visit. Hans Vermeij joined the firm in early 1958 when it was C.H. Wilson and Partners, working as a surveyor for more than 40 years. He was born in Holland and migrated to Australia after a time with the Dutch Army in West New Guinea. It has been 20 years since Hans has left GBA. He returned home to Barcaldine for a visit and to share some stories about surveying in the tough gidgee timber country.
